Shortcuts have yet to master (non-glitches)
MUSHROOM GORGE: (Major shortcut at the end of the course with a shroom.) Major shortcut at the end where you hug the wall. TOAD'S FACTORY: (Last turn at the end of the course before the zippers, the jump that you trick on over the water.) DK SUMMIT:(Double shortcut over the cliffs.) GRUMBLE VOLCANO: (Shroom over to the left side of the huge rock about midway through the course.) DRY DRY RUINS: (After the first turn, shroomless wheelieing over the terrain over by the cactus.) DELFINO SQUARE: (Double-shortcut. Going in the area by the wooden bridge by the last tree in the area and shrooming while tricking to make it to the ally between the two buildings.) BOWSER CASTLE 3: The long shortcut by the bumpers. Align yourself along the 2nd to last bumper and shroom over to the other side of the wall. N64 DK JUNGLE PARKWAY: (right before the first underpass at the start, aligning yourself about midway to the spiraling bridge and shrooming over the railing and on the bridge before the zoom where you take that over the water.)
I raced my friends ghost one time on N64 Mario Raceway and i couldn't believe how close I beat her ghost! I copied her lines and beat her ghost by 00:00.003... Closest I have ever been to beating someone's ghost!
I am still somewhat of a noob at Double-Dash because I rarely played it when it first came out so I don't yet know what all the fastest routes are on the game yet. I'm just posting these times of mine for fun....
The best way to improve would be to watch some of the world records and copy their strategy (except the hard ones such as dry dry ruins and koopa cape).
Not bad though!
Thank you! I've seen several World Record videos. I haven't tried to copy their lines just yet. I have on some though like Shy Guy Beach. I have yet to take the shortcut on GBA Bowser Castle 3 although I might try it soon. Also haven't tried much with the mini shortcut on Rainbow Road... I just know it's gonna take a lot of practice before I get those shortcuts down consistently.
