I know you probably don't wanna be nagged about this but as it's been a while, how is this coming along :D I know I speak for all of us when I say I can't wait to see it

Here's an early concept:

As you can see, I plan on adding background elements from MH to enhance the course.
Do you have any more suggestions?

Wow, not gonna lie I didn't expect such a swift response Hmm... Toad's Turnpike always was quite a simple looking track, but I fully support your idea to add buildings to the background for decoration. It's definitely what the track needs in order to increase its visual appeal! However I think it'd be all too easy to go overboard with stuff that could be added, keeping a fair degree of simplicity is in-keeping with this track's design. With that said, I think a few minor additions like streetlights, MAYBE animated textures on signs (though you would ofc need to release a _d version of the track if you were to take this course of action), or even some boost pads to add to the strategy here (Nintendo added extra boost pads to DS Waluigi Pinball and Wii Mushroom Gorge for MK7 for this reason).

These alone would in my opinion give the track all it needs to become an instant hit :D I can't wait to play it!

You should go for Dry Dry Desert soon, to complete the GCN collection.

Anyway, I appreciate the work in putting up some of the retro tracks, I prefer them over the newly made ones considering they usually are just super long straight courses with a nunch of cannons :p
toads turnpike is killer lol. even though navigation on mkw is easier, the cars are still VERY difficult to avoid. its one of the few custom tracks that have a 10/10 difficulty

By the way, I agree. The Toad's Turnpike remake is amazing, like all the other tracks Torran has made.
Awesome!
