What is the thing called ds download play next to the pictochat?? I've had my ds for a year and still haven't figure it out?

You connect with someone else close to you with a DS using the Download feature in a game. Such as Tetris, Zelda or any other game that supports it. This is where your friend has the game, but you do not.

Also on the 'Nintendo Channel' on Wii, you can download demos wirelessly.
