I enjoyed Super Mario Sunsine. Very fun and challenging. Bowser's voice was pretty terrible though lol.
Super Mario Galaxy was epic IMO. Definitely my favourite out of the three. I wish it was a bit more challenging though. Let's hope Super Mario Galaxy 2 is epic AND challenging! :)

I loved how 64 was so open-ended. For the most part, you can get the stars in any order you want, and there were usually multiple ways of obtaining said stars. It adds a lot to the replay value, and it's just fun. It's exactly how a 3-D platformer should be.
Galaxy was the exact opposite. It's linear as hell, and there is only one way to do anything in the game. When collecting stars in 64, there was the easy way, the hard way, the short way, the long way etc. In Galaxy, there's just "the way". Not only that, but you can't even go back to a planet once you've used its warp star most of the time. =/ I could go on and on about Galaxy's faults, but I'll stop there for now. Though if I could say one good thing about the game, it's that its soundtrack is amazing.
Super Mario 64, because it's classic.
Even though I've really only played Super Mario 64 DS, but that's close. I loved the whole 'jumping into the pictures' idea. :3 And who can forget the star theme? <3 Super Mario Galaxy is good, too. It's a pretty game. xD
I'd have to say Super Mario Sunshine, I loved using Fludd and I also liked how you could change the colour of Yoshi by eating a certain fruit. I also loved the carnival themed level where you get yoshi.
