I've been thinking about how the releases have gone down to one per week, and the games are lousy 80% of the time. The Wii probably has three years left in it's lifespan, and at the rate of 1 game per week, so many good games will be unreleased. What motive is there for the strange way the VC is being run? I can't imagine horrible games would sell well, and it would be just as easy to release any of the hundreds of good games that will sell well.
The only explanation I can think of is that the VC is going to be in all future consoles (which is given), and they want to spread out sales as much as they can. I kind of doubt that would be effective, as people will buy old games whether or not they were just rereleased.
