I recently got Homebrew on version 4.2, but then I realised that I might get 20102 online eventually. I'm not sure of the answer and I can't think of a bettter place to post, so yeah... noob question for you to answer. I'm only using it for SNES emulation, cheating offline and nothing else.

Nope, ya cant unless you hack online. Nintendo has no way of checking your wii for that stuff unless you download some sort of update and stuff. The reason why you can get banned when you hack online, is because Nintendo can watch anyone's screen who is playing at any time.

since you have 4.2, it would be best to not update when a new firmware comes out.
HBC is great because of its many possibilities but each update blocks more and more. Everything cool/useful/etc., after 3.2, was blocked. That is why 3.2 is considered the best firmware.
4.2 didn't actually do anything though. BUT when 4.3 comes out, who knows what it'll block.

Ya, i have had HBC for a long time. I never hacked online and i never got banned, i just used it to get a custom ios so i can play texture and model hacks on mkw

i have mine on 4.2 too.but still i probaly wont get banned duhh
