Today I played in the GTT for the first time, for Team Flipper.
It was nothing short of infuriating.
First and foremost, my internet connection decided to call it quits in the middle of the event, causing me to miss 2 GPs.
After the connection decided to come back and stay there, the third GP.
Oh God the horror.
Race 1 was in N64 Mario Raceway. It was pretty standard till the end, where a blue shell THAT CAME AFTER ME WHEN I WAS IN SECOND BECAUSE JOHNO WAS MILES AHEAD OF EVERYBODY ELSE WHEN HE WON caused me to get DEAD LAST in that race.
Race 2 was Mario Circuit. As before I was only destroyed in the end. Lightning came, but someone fired a red just before and hit me with it. Then I was hit by ANOTHER red. Results: 8th.
Race 3 was DK Mountain. There were 3 blues the whole race, and 2 of these went on my head. Seems pretty normal, but one of these has left me extremely suspicious. In lap 3 I passed a bunch of people by doing the SC quickly, and I promptly get blue shelled.
Race 4 was in Desert Hills and wasn't that bad actually as I got 3rd.
Final Result: 20 pts, BUT IF I WERE JUST A BIT LUCKIER I WOULD HAVE SCORED A LOT MORE!!!
i was in a pro room with people with 9999 and just all over 9000 except me.so i got in 1 race and was in 1st for 3 laps until almost at the end.lightning, red shell, red shell,by then i was in last and got last and lost 97 points.>:-( angry
I'm seriously sick of wi fi. I lost 400 straight, thanks to tons of races where I got blue shelled multiple times in the final lap only. If I'm ever behind, the best I ever get are triple mushrooms, and often I'll just get a blooper, or even the TC, while people in front of me get stars and bullets >:(. Racing online has very little to do with skill, it seems. It's pretty much whoever gets the best luck or is the biggest jerk wins. On the occasion that I do actually screw up, it never really costs me. I only lose races because of items these days.
