Rocket Restart-When you fall off the track,when he is going to place you down, wait til he drops you, the moment you hit the ground, press the button that you use to go, if done right, you should get a boost.
Grumble Volcano -You can do this one of 2 ways. The first is easy. All you have to do is turn around and fall in the lava. When you are placed back, line up with the rock to your left(or right in mirror mode.) Stand still Mini turbo, then once you get sparks, let go, wheelie for extra speed then trick off the jump, hopefully you will land on the rock. Go around it but make sure to pass the finish line on the rock.

Grumble Glitcher Blocking- When you see someone Grumble glitching, try to keep them from doing it. It is easy to do, unless you use the Quacker. Follow them and block where they are trying to jump from. Bump them while they are wheelieing, or STMTing. Keep blocking them until they leave or until they lose a ton of VR. If they do get up there on the rock, then bump them off, block the narrower parts of the rock. *If you can't, then just torture them in another race*

I have a question. I know it's about 14-15 items until you get a 1st place mushroom. Does each individual triple shell/banana peel add up to the total items?
Does it matter what place you're in as you run through the item boxes initially?
They don't count as individual items.
From a recent race on Bowser Castle,I dipped into lower places, then for a lap stayed in 1st and got a mushroom.So I don't think you need to stay in 1st
