FYI, only the person using the hacks can see the changes if you're online (as far as I know).
Correct. This is because the other players simply don't have the modified race course data, and there's no way to get it to them without them being able to hack. Like models, like textures, unfortunately.
What happens to the computer racers when they race the course?
They follow the route of Shy Guy Beach. Because everything has been made solid, it works, and they drive a fairly decent route round the circle. On the video, watch after I've finished and you can see the basic route that the CPUs try to take
~you could also say that every Birdo user is a transsexual, that a Daisy user is a whore and that someone using Luigi is a naive idiot.
~Plus this thread makes my eyes bleed.
~I don't really care
DB, my hero =]
Very nice work, I seriously can't wait for this. =D

I bought Mario Kart Wii on Wednesday, May 14, 2008. I got 100% of all gameplay modifications on Saturday, May 24, 2008. My total gameplay time was 38 hours and 2 minutes, of which about 6 hours was not related to the 100% gameplay completion. I'd have been done sooner if it wasn't for Guitar Hero. =P
Good job Bean! I wish I could have been arround to reserve a post =P Looking foward to what the future of model hacking holds!
Yeah, but I couldn't wait for ya to get online. I had been working all night to get it complete, I uploaded the vid at around 5:00am! Posted here shortly afterwards. But don't worry, when model hacking gets under way properly, I'll keep it updated in the same way I did for texture hacking
