I don't know what I am doing wrong, but I HATE this map. I use the flame runner, which has horrible off-road, so that is part of the problem.

My question is: Should I be jumping over the shallow water between islands or just wheeling thru the water? I guess this really applies to the part with about 6 small islands in a row. I am trying to figure out the fastest way thru that part.

Hopping! Wheeling slows down by a large margin.

Umm, the problem the character chosen. This course if prefered my small characters, most Toadette. The only good bike for the course is magicruiser.

So for this course use Toadette and Magicruiser. Best offroad character and bike. Go in the shallow water the entire time besides the big area of grass. Just use a mushroom right here.

Test it out, that's the only way to know.. I'de say hop, because the water slows you down.. and when you use FR in SGB, your technically screwed if you don't hop the water.

yeah use toadette on the magikruiser this also allows you to cut corners in the water.

Use your mushrooms on the green island :)

Just use Toadette in the Magikruiser and race in the water as you would if it was land.
