If you were in at least 4th(or third,depending of how many players were playing at that time)place when you hit the item box and then made it to first place,the item you got corresponded to the place you were before, making the BS possible in first...it has happened to me twice and it sucks to blow yourself like that Dx

That's strange o_O The highest place I've ever gotten a blue shell (12 players) was I think 2nd or 3rd place...

In MK64, I've gotten a lightning in 1st place before lol.

Well I wasnt sure what would happen, I thought maybe it would hit last place or something.
