I seriously doubt it. Nintendo has traditionally released one Mario Kart game per home console per video game generation. Here is the current trend.
SNES Mario Kart - 1992 (4th generation of video games)
N64 Mario Kart 64 - 1996 (5th generation of video games)
GC Mario Kart Double Dash - 2003 (6th generation of video games)
Wii Mario Kart Wii - 2008 (7th and current generation of video games)
Besides, even if Nintendo decided to break that trend and release another Mario Kart, they would wait several more years since there is no reason to release another Mario Kart when the current Wii one is in the top 10 selling charts of all consoles every month. Why kill its momentum? And anger current owners that have only had it for a year?
And even if they released a game against all logic, the Wii console itself probably wouldnt have the capacity to greatly improve upon the current game. I remember reading recently that the upcoming New Super Mario Bros Wii game is already pushing the Wii's limitations, and that was only because it was a 4-play simultaneous game. MK Wii might be close to pushing the Wii's limits too.
If they can release another Mario platformer this gen, then I don't see why they can't release another Mario Kart.

before you can meet again. And meeting again, after moments or lifetime, is certain for those who are friends.
