as soon as you load MW3 into your console it asks you to adjust the bars to ensure that the game covers the whole of your TV screen, i have mucked mine up and i need to know how i change it again, please help.

Then look for screen HUD or something like that. Screen adjustment idk.

You can edit those options while at the main menu or when you press the start button in the middle of a game. So pretty much what the other two have said.
Start > Options > Horizontal/Vertical Margin
