What got you into Anime or, "led you astray?" - Mario Kart Wii

Anyways as the topic says, what got you guys into Anime? For me it was a friend in High School who enlightened me on what Anime really was. He was all the time talking about this or that Anime, bringing manga to school and reading them during lunch etc. Thanks to him showing and telling me what Anime was, I realized that I had actually seen more Anime than I thought I had. Anime was real easy to get into for me, and it all the time makes me laugh with what they do. Nothing more relaxing than sitting down and watching a good Anime to me really. So really, I've ban a fan of Anime since before High School, but didn't know it lol.

Well, my friend at first showed it to me, but I thought it was like, stupid at that time 83. Alex (Alex31) on this forum showed me some anime about 2 years ago and now I'm hooked on it, I've watched about 25+ animes by now lawl 83. Some animes are really touching, others are fast paced. Its amazing how people think anime is stupid.

What first got me into anime was Pokemon... But I didn't really know it was anime at the time so it didn't really matter. Later on I found Dragon Ball and Trigun, and they were what actually got me into anime.

My friend in high school started drawing anime and such, she then started a anime club. I attended a few during lunches and such. I haven't really gotten into anime yet, but I'm looking for something that suits me.

My dad, actually. He showed me somthing he watched as a kid, Mysterious Cities of gold. Ran in 1983. Came back in 1993. coming back in 2011

Well, I was always into watching any cartoon when I was a kid, I loved pokemon and Dragonball Z. And in in the summer holidays, 2nd year of high school I just started watching more.

Vampire knight, Gantz, FMA, FLCL, Lucky Star, Inuyasha, Rurouni Kenshin, Samurai X, DEATH NOTE, DN Angel, Elfen Lied, Fruits Basket, Melancholy Haruhi Suzumiya... WAY more then that.

(Of course I watched all these through the years.) O_o
