Not sure I agree about attracting more attention, if Maranatha wrote all his ♥♥♥♥ in a blog it would show up on the home page, as that is one of the new features included in these changes that Brent made. As for teaching others, I still say that could be done privately.

I didnt miss that part, I acknowledged that, that is why I said he wants to help his fellow christians. But it's not really helping anyone save for a couple. What usually happens is this:

*Maranatha rambles on about the bible*

response from everyone else:

*crickets chirping, tumbleweed blows across the ground*

^That is why this thread is also one of the reasons why this thread is pointless.
Yes, he only wants to "discuss" with other christians, which in a way does imply to exclude non-christians. There is nothing wrong with wanting to help fellow christians out, it's just that more often than not nobody cares what he says. If his teachings arent cared about, then he is wasting his time. That's another reason why this thread is pointless.

Wow. This thread has went downhill imo :(. I truly enjoyed the discussions that Marantha had about the Bible and his interpretation of the same pieces of scripture. I even posted a little bit. It is nothing wrong with this thread imo and it isn't trying to change anyones beliefs it is just trying to teach the Bible that is all. wither you receive it is on you.

As far as someone over 18 managing this thing well Age doesn't equal maturity. As long as the mod is respectful to a persons believes and provides wisdom on the topic at hand that would be ok. I would managed this section... nah just kidding haha. Nasir is doing his job.

Personally I don't see the point of having the thread in a serious debate forum if it's going to purposefully exclude/ignore valid arguments that come from other ways of thinking.

It's better to do it privately because it's more specific to one person who may want help/learn from Maranatha's viewpoint, as opposed to here where no ones gives a ♥♥♥♥ about his posts in this thread.

My point is that nobody ever answers his posts, christian or otherwise. He may have helped you and Kain, but I'll get to that below.

The difference between that thread and this one is that this one implies exclusion to non-christians. Whereas in The Bible: fact or fiction thread anyone can answer.

Who else has it helped? This is why I say it should be done privately because it's not really helping anyone other than you and Kain. Maybe if people actually cared what he writes and comments then this thread would have a purpose. But as it stands, it doesnt.
