Before actually trying out in the first place, you must send me an application that contains your Mii name, versus rating, star rank, character and vehicle preferences, time frame you have played this game from, as well as why you want to join Nintendo 5 Star. This is of course, if recruitment is set to "Open". For the most part, we are invite only, which means, I must have personally invited you to come tryout for Nintendo 5 Star. Exceptions can be made depending on the person wanting to join. We would prefer to have people who we have knowledge about trying out, rather than randoms. Activity is also key. You are not forced to play the game every waking hour of the day, but we would like you to be in our chat as much as possible, so stay up to date with things going on in our clan.
The tryout process:
Tryouts, for those that haven't been invited into the clan, will consist of three GP's, where you are allowed to select any character, vehicle or track of your choosing. Constantly selecting "Luck based" tracks is not appreciated, however, as it gives us a rather poor example of how well you can front run. During these three GP's, I will judge you based on item usage and overall ability to maintain a lead. Your ability to work well as a teammate is also an important factor. Skill is not everything, however. A racer's attitude is just as important. Like I said before, we want people who race with honor. Skype is not a requirement, but it is allowed. Some members in our clan have it, some don't. It's up to you if you want to use it or not. Nobody should be restricted due to their inability to obtain such a device.
Wars with Nintendo 5 Star can be scheduled with myself, via private message, or through our chat. Five versus Five is our preferred style of play, although negotiations can be made. Rules used for World Clan League matches are acceptable when warring us, although we do not support the WCL in any way. Please let us know what type of rules you want to use before the initial GP begins, assuring the war goes as smoothly as possible. N5Star is not afraid of warring anybody, be it the best or the worst clan in the competitive community. We simply want to have a good time, and not have to worry about a meaningless number.
How our wars work:
All five Nintendo 5 Star players will simply try their absolute best in order to best the opposing clan. Whether our strategy at the time works is unknown, but we will not be found trolling unless the other clan is caught doing so beforehand, as we believe such tactics are unacceptable. If we catch you trolling, or performing "Purposeful disconnects", your clan will be added to our blacklist. We may let it slip by once, or possibly twice, but constantly performing such tactics is unforgivable. We want clean and fair wars. Having the other clan cancel the war (in other words, forfeit) after they are losing, will result in a win for Nintendo 5 Star. All of our members are to posses a decent front running prowess, and an ability to use items well, in order to help their teammates succeed in wars. Teamwork is the most important thing of all. Wars will not be counted if I am unaware of its occurrence.
