This just made my plan a lot more difficult :(
But whatever, we'll see how it goes.

Hopefully this works for the best.

Hi guys, long time no see. I'm a lot more active at other sites, and with school being a bit hectic for me I haven't found much time to visit this place, even though I do love it here (just as much when I first joined). If you guys want to speak with me, please do so via PM, since by VMs are off. It's nice to be back, hope to see some familiar faces around!

I got three more questions on this.

How will this system work? Does it work by VM/PMing a moderator to ask and see if their clan is fit to be a veteran clan? Or is it discussed between the staff without asking about their clan? Do all requirements need to be fulfilled?

I fear that clanless users will most likely look through this forum first before the new-and-upcoming clans in the old forum. Not all new clans that are created are fail right away. There are always some shining clans that have promise and looks promising right off the bat. Those clans, I fear, would get less attention than the ones here.

I hope you understand my concerns.
I disagree. The majority of users that are looking for a clan are likely to be new to the forums as well. A large, main heading is more likely to catch their attention than a sub-forum, and so one would assume that the less established clans would actually gain their first perusal. After all, look at the number of people who completely ignore stickied threads!

I would've preferred the introduction of a minimum post limit rule (like 500) before someone can start a clan to control the number of fail clans being formed, rather than have a divide.

Also, if we're to keep the sub section then I think the new clans should've been put there, leaving the veteran's in the main clan zone section. This is so that any 1st visitors to this section are presented with the established clans first.

Just my opinion.

yea but there are clans out there that would qualify as "veteran" clans, yet are not found here on these forums. Say one of those clans decides to come make a thread here, they would be turned down because of a post count rule. I like the idea of a sub-forum, although I got to agree I would have rather had the newer clans in the sub-forum not the vets

I think this section should have had the new clans and the original section for established clans...in my opinion.

Edit: Saw Bash posted near enough the same. I agree.

Gloomy news is hittin' the headlines
So depressin', not a surprise
Public places, there are no boundaries
Supervised like we can't be wise
Who's in control of this disaster?
Who's in control of your life?
The world is a battlefield
We're in a dark shadow
You win or you'll be lost forever
Don't waste all your tears
Reality is so hollow
You gotta fight, be a survivor

FYI Maniac has implemented a minimum 300 posts to create a clan thread.

I disagree. When people first visit this site, either they are new to mkwii or are a strong player that knows of the good clans out there.

New people will like to look through the new clans there which will help them join never clans helping them move ahead to the veteran section. Think of it like 'impulse buying' first thing you see catches your eye

If clans want to he moved to veteran, they will contact a mod and me/thino will look over their thread/members/site/war record. We can get a good picture of whether they are a stable clan or not
