I'm very pleased with the rise of the Bug type in recent generations, even if they remain a mediocre type now. Considering they were an utter plague on the 1st generation games, they've been upgraded significantly, and actually have a place on teams...

...I'm a spectator of the meta-game. xD

Funny fact, Twin Needle is the only attack that can poison a Steel-type.
While bug types may be overlooked, Poison types really do reign on that matter.

I mean, what have you got in there? Toxicroak or Weezing? *thinks...*

Poison doesn't even provide good coverage against other types, it's only effective against Grass and Bug (the last doesn't even count for lack of usage in metagame).
What would be better than a STABed, Sludge Bomb with a decent base stat on attack with its relatively high percentage of inflicting poison would balance things a little more. But no, it's been excluded all these gens.

You do have a point. When they brought new poison type moves to the game, they brought what...Poison Tail???Base power of 50 xo. The poison type is falling down in the race for usefullness in the metagame. I'm not saying Bug type is not...they both are. Something needs to get balanced out.

Yes, the Bug type was a terrible, terrible type in the 1st gen, 2nd gen boosted it up quite a bit with Heracross, Scizor, Forretress, and a few others.

About Kingdra, it's not neither quick or sturdy enough to start a sweep. It can manage to do some damage, Water/Dragon is beneficial too, but again out of theory it can pratically go down with 2 attacks. So it's not something to fear, even with Dragon Dance, it's pals Gyarados, Salamence, etc, do its job with more efficiency.

And that's good you noticed that Poncho, I just added Ninetales to the UU tier.

Never thought about that. Then again, I raised only one Kingdra to lv.100 and it wasn't too bad, I just never use it. It since in Box 3 I believe.
