I wanted to test out Helping Hand in Doubles; it seems rather interesting, acting as a pseudo-Adaptability. I had been thinking about putting it on something bulky like a Vaporeon, Shuckle or Blissey, then having alongside one of them another bulky offensive attacker, namely with a priority move. The combo I would use would probably be Shuckle and my Sword Dancing Empoleon, for his Aqua Jet. Then once Shuckle faints, Vaporeon would act as a Helping stall. Thoughts?
Sounds interesting, however to start things off so your Empoleon can get its Swords Dances going without being target first. Try using a Pokemon with Follow me in there first, and let Empoleon Dance up, so once the Follow me target feints, you can then bring in your shuckle or Vaporeon or what have you, then provide an even further boost with Hleping Hand. Although it does somewhat seem like Overkill...you might make a Empoleon with at least one Sp. Attack so if you come across a target with good base Defense, you can have a Boosted Helping hand Sp. Attack to help whittle the target away easier.
Also, since I haven't updated this in awhile, I'm gonna add a link to a site I found with just some tidbits of info for Double abttling that I thought would be useful to the overall main idea of this thread for anyone else looking to get into it.
A bump for me thread. Tidied up the first page a bit and removed some uneccesary clutter. Looking for some more stuff to possibly add now that HG/SS is out and about and it has been awhile since I updated this.
