Up until GH:WT (don't quote me on this, I don't know if Aerosmith is this way or not) you could only verse people in a PFO if they played the same difficulty as you. Now you can play multi-level with scaled scores... whether it be Easy vs. Expert, Medium vs. Hard or whatever the case. Now, there are some pros and cons for this:
Pros
- You can find a hell of a lot more people online, instead of waiting for a while
- You can always play the whole song (unlike the now redundant Face-off mode)
- Great for when friends come around :)
Cons
- Questionable accuracy of score-scaling
- Much harder to find someone at your level, whatever it may be
- You can only record scores for high score charts if you are versing someone the same difficulty as you (otherwise they are scaled)
Instead of 'complaining too ph*cking much' i'm going to let you comment on this first. Is it good, or was the old method better? Should they just drop FO mode altogether now?
i love pfo's. that is the only mode i play on. but i never knew hey scaled scores..
They have to, to even out Easy/Expert or any difficulties... the person on Easy will score much more for every note they hit and the person on Expert will score less. It's how they compete.
It's stupid when you're playing expert and they're playing easy, missing one note could potentially cost you the game because their notes are so much easier.
But I hardly ever do pfo's so idc :p

Are items not in the game for the sole purpose of screwing up fellow players? And if you hit your teammates, that's their problem that they didn't dodge.
