Back in the day my starter was Chikorita, and still today I would pick it. Why the hell am I the only one? *cries*

Also, I hope they re-make Red from Mt.Silver. Strongest in-game trainer in any game. He needs to be there.

[start rant] Also, some Gym leader teams need to change for being plain easy. The main one I have in mind is Bugsy's Metapod and Kakuna. It's stupid because they're level 15 and un-evolved in a gym. And Falkner had an illegal Pidgeotto before that. And a trainer in the same gym as Bugsy has a Beedrill. So it's illogical that Bugsy has Pokemon eweaker than her own Gym Trainers. Similarly (although I read it above) Elite four will needs to lose a Xatu and get something new. If you're gonna spam 2 of the same pokemon, at least make it decent. The ghost and Dragon gyms also dissapointed me in terms of variety. But to be honest, back in the day there wasn't much to expect as what they had was all that existed of the type. Bar Morty not having Misdreavus which made me sad. I doubt they're really going to introduce a later generation pokemon in a remake, but it really would be more fun to battle those particular trainers if they did. Since Morty having Duskull, Sable or even that Misdreavus, would be slightly more interesting than 4 of the same evolution family. Of course, if they listen to me and add Shedinja to be evil, I will find a knife and hunt them down... >_> [/end rant]

I agree. The past few games I've purchased weren't that great (Wii Music). But I do enjoy coming along a title that was worth the 30$ + price tag (Layton, MKW)

I kinda did... when I first got Gold... picked him as my starter... then started over with a Totodile instead.

The reason why people probably don't like Chikorita is because it just a awful pokemon in-game and competition wise.

I do like Chikorita, but she's not as good as Totodile ;D
