HOWEVER!! Your forgetting another fact that red & Ash aren't different people. Yes, they share similarities.... but why the Ash sprite if it never existed in G/S in 2nd Generation?

Let me state it. That picture is fake. Even if it looks real.... there is no way in HELL they are going to use that sprite as Red.

Edit: I might have to disagree with you a little there, Alex. Looking at the picture once more, that sprite used for Gold doesn't look near enough similar to the one in the ShinyGold hack. The colouring of Gold's clothes and the hat are different to the ones in the ShinyGold hack.

Yes. It looks real. And if anyone here can confirm that, then I will apologise for thinking that it was a fake.

However. I stand by my statement..... that picture there with Gold and 'Red' (coughfakeashspriten00bscough) was editted well by a fan (who has a lot of free time on his hands) and shipped it off for those believing it to be 100% legit .

The sprites for the player were shown to look like the one in ShinyGold from an official screenshot showing the character with thier starter.

As for the Red Sprite. Red is basically the character from FireRed, as he was from Red in the original Gold. So of course they'd make Red look like the character from FireRed.
