Hello,

This is my second tutorial for GIMP. In this tutorial, you will learn how to add a text reflection effect. If you have any questions, please post here. I hope you enjoy and learn something from this tutorial.

Also, please give feedback!

Only thing I dislike is how plain the background is . Apart from that its awesome sauce.

umm.. there is an easier way to do it, and it looks more professional, it has to do with layer masks

hi tutorial is one of the worse for this type of text, ive seen loads better, but none the less very well alid out, its just the stuff you ahve in it,

anyway to the actual tutorial, i would advise you lower the opacity on the lower 'reflecive' layer, it adds more of a refelctive feel, as a reflection is not exacty the same cotrast as the actual thing being reflected, i also would add a tine ammount of distortion, i know your not making it reflected from water, but it adds to the feel of a normal serface reflection.

one last thing, dont ever use blue as a background for a reflective styled surface its light silver white or black... end of lol

anyway

3/5 for rating, very simple but looks nice anyway
