I've only been making them with Gimp for about 2 and a half months almost three I believe.

The effects in some of these look a bit...random...

Also, you need to learn about lighting, depth and flow. None are really all that strong in what you've produced so far.

Other than that, don't feel that you need to put text into everything. It can look distracting and detracts from the focal if not placed well.
