many, many people are wondering how to add pictures on mario wiki....well, Now I will show you step by step
1. First off, you have to find a picture on the internet. Right click on the picture and click
"save as". Now the picture is saved on your computer.
2. on mario wiki, on the left of the page there is an area called
"toolbox". Click on "upload file" here.
3. after you click
"upload file" press browse and upload an image that is saved onto you computer. below where it says
"destination filename" you have to remember everything that it says here because you will need it in the future.
4. Upload the picture to wiki
NOW WE ACTUALLY GET TO PUT THE IMAGE ON A WIKI PAGE:
1: when you go to edit a page, in the top left, where the icons are, click the little picture (it says
"embedded image" when you scroll over it).
You should have this [[Image:Example.jpg]]
2. Remember the destination filename; this is where you need it. replace [[Image:
Example.jpg] the red part with the destination filename.
you should end up with something like this .....
[[Image:yoshibike.jpg]]...but most likely with a different filename
3. Next, if you want to send the picture to the right of the screen add this
|right|thumb| to the prior code....you should end up with this....
If you want to send it to the left use this instead
|left|thumb|
4. Now, you have to decide on the size you want the picture to be. to do this you have to add even more to the code.
add this to the code
200px| .........I recommend
between 150 and 300 px because that is a decent size
you should end up with this up to this point....
5. Finally, if you want to add writing all you have to do is add writing after the number of px......easy step
6. This would be the final product
[[Image:Yoshibike.jpg |right|thumb|200px|Yoshi on his standard Bike]]
Please tell me if this was helpful or not...I'll try to fix it if it is confusing
