Hello and welcome to the Mario Kart Wii Prom. Guys, it's time to get out those tuxedos and girls, it's time to organise that frock, because you're going to be part of a night you won't forget.
Tournament Information
This is a 2v2v2v2v2v2 tournament which is to be held on Friday the 9th of October at 10PM EST (New York time). (Not your timezone? Here's a converter for you: http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/converter.html) I will be hosting the tournament, however if strong interest is expressed, there may be more hosts. The tournament will be 3GPs duration.
Procedure
People wishing to participate in the tournament will ask someone of the opposite sex to be their partner. Once they become a partnership, they may register for the Mario Kart Wii Prom. On the night, they will race together in a room competing against five other couples. Whichever couple scores the most points out of the 3GPs win the tournament. This means that you are still competing against couples in other rooms to try and get the most points.
Rules
- Hacking, glitching or cheating of any kind is not permitted. If you are found guilty of breaking this rule, you will be disqualified.
- Partners must be of the opposite sex and cannot be blood related in any way. You will be disqualified if you are found guilty of breaking this rule.
- Your Mii name must be similar to your forum name. If a link between your Mii name and forum name cannot be made, you will receive 0 points for the event.
- You may vote freely, but once a course has been raced on, it cannot be raced on again. If you vote for a course that has already been raced on, and it is chosen, you will lose 15 points.
- If the host disconnects, the GP is to be restarted.
- If you disconnect in the first GP, or the first race of any GP, the GP is to be restarted.
- If you disconnect in any other race, you will be awarded 10 points for that GP unless there is sufficient evidence showing you had more before disconnecting.
- The host is not obliged to restart the GP if the same person has disconnected more than twice. In this case, you'll be awarded 10 points for that GP unless there is sufficient evidence showing you had more before disconnecting.
Please come to the chat about half an hour before the tournament is scheduled to begin.
Disclaimer:
Spoiler
I do not mean to discriminate by not allowing same sex couples. If I was to allow same sex couples, most people would not make the effort to ask someone of the opposite sex, and this wouldn't be a prom, it would be a normal 2v2v2v2v2v2 tournament, which there are already plenty of.
Homosexuals are still more than welcome to join. As most of us do, choose a really good friend of the opposite sex. Few of us heterosexuals actually 'love' our partners anyway.
Posts complaining about this matter will be ignored, so save your breath and don't post.
