Description:
This is a large team tournament for 2v2v2v2v2v2. You are free to select your partner, but you must have the same tag. For example, Newbie@55 and Pro@55. Tournament will be held the same way Japanese tournaments are held, where people will be randomized into random rooms. The tournament will go on until there is a winning team. Please read the rules for more detail.

Important:
If you are able to host, please read the hosting rules! We will need A LOT of hosts. Please offer to host if you can.

Rules:
1. Teams must consist of only 2 players. It is up to you to find a partner that can show up.
2. Once the tournament starts, switching of partner is strictly prohibited.
3. Teams must register with their name and their respective tags, ex: NC☆ABC, NC☆452. If there is no tag, then the team will automatically forfeit.
4. Team tags must be UNIQUE. This means that if another team is using the tag you want to use, pick something else!
5. Free choice of vehicles, characters, and controllers.
6. Glitching/hacking is not allowed.
7. All tracks must be selected "Random."
8. Host will only re-open room if 3 or more people disconnect.
9. The rating must be over 8000VR to ensure 150CC/Mirror mode.
10. Each round consists of 2 GP.

Scoring system:
1. The total points from both players will be added together to determine the final standing of the team.
2. If a team has only one player that showed up, then only that person score will count. There is no free +15 points for missing partner.
3. Partner who disconnect score will only count if picture is provided.
4. No scores will be award to a player who disconnects before the end of the first race.

Groups:
1. Groups are selected based on a random lottery. You won't know your group until 30 minutes to 1 hour before the starting time.
2. Players must add their respective host and join when the room is opened.
3. Failure to join within the allotted time will result in an automatic disqualification.
4. If a team has only one player who showed up, only their score is counted for that GP.

Host:
1. Host must add players to their list 10-15 minutes before the starting time. This ensures that everyone gets confirmed in time.
2. Players have 10 minutes to join the room from the starting time of the round. If the round starts at 22:00, then players must join by 22:10.
3. The host must start the room 10 minutes after the round starting time.
4. If you wish to register as host, please add an ★ at the end of your name. For example NC☆ABC ★, NC☆452 will denote that NC☆ABC is able to host.
5. If there are no host available, we will select a random host out of the available players.

Results:
1. You should (or must) be able to capture the final results of the GP.
2. Once the round is complete, post the pictures with the final standings in the thread.
3. Scores should be tabulated by the person who is taking the picture.
4. Top 3 teams will advance to the next round, while bottom 3 teams will be eliminated.
5. Once a team is eliminated, the player can not be take part in the tournament again unless otherwise stated by the administrator of the tournament.
6. Once one round finishes, we will wait for all the other rooms to finish to post the new groupings.

Instruction on how to sign up:

5. Return to the tournament sign up page and see if your name is listed above/below your partner (with tags!). Ensure that it is, otherwise we may not consider your entry into the tournament.

3. Submit and you should be removed. If you remove yourself from the tournament, please tell your partner to remove themselves as well.

BRACKETS, FINAL RESULTS, ETC

Large Team Tournament

Q: How many GPs are each round?
A: It is 2GP.

Q: The interval between rounds is 1 hour exact. Isn't it a bit too optimistic?
A: It is a tentative schedule so people have something to follow. Of course there will be some delays and such. If everyone does their part, then there shouldn't be a problem finishing within 5 hours.

Q: I think 8000VR not necessary as it ensures nothing.
A: Generally, players with higher rating tend to race in races with 150CC / Mirror mode picked more often. We are trying to avoiding 100CC GP, but if they do appear, it shouldn't delay the tournament too much.

Q: Break time between GPs?
A: 5 minute break time is allotted between GPs. After 5 minutes, the host must start the next GP.

Q: Where do we post round results?
A: After you finish both GP, you should post pictures, standings, and assigned group letter in this thread. We will use that to determine the next round teams.

Q: Is there a loser's bracket?
A: No.

Q: Why do we have to register using a Japanese site?
A: I am too lazy to code my own English version, and people are free to add/remove themselves at anytime. Less mess = smooth tournament.

Q: I can't find a partner? Where can I look?
A: You can ask here, but I would suggest that you don't... You should ask someone you know and trust who will actually follow the rules and come on time.

If you can host, please put a ★ at the end of your name when you register. We will need about 14-20 teams who can host since all rooms will be going on at the same time. If there is not enough host, I will designate a player to host the room, so be prepare to host even if you don't plan on doing it.
