Not really much I can say in the thread title lol.
This chart is a representation of all possible winning race results in a clan war as well as general single- and multiple-GP scores with info such as maximum and minimum scores as well as the points you need to win.
** None of the following account for disconnections or uneven teams at any point in proceedings. **
** If the set top 2, 3, 4 or 5 ensure a victory for that race, lesser positions are not included; a range instead of a score is given in this case. **
KEY FOR TABLES: Individual Scores - Based on scores received, NOT actual placement. Score Total - Total scores for the team when added. In the case of a range, the first number is the absolute lowest score you can get if you get the first set scores (i.e. 12th/10th/8th and consecutive positions upwards depending on number of players in the race), and the second is the absolute highest. Proj. Score - Projected Score if same result is achieved all 4 races. As above, first number is absolute lowest and second is absolute highest.
Scores are sorted by the maximum possible race score, then by minimum possible, then by highest non-given score.
Points Per Race: 73 Points To Win: 37 Highest Possible Score: 58 Lowest Possible Score: 15
- Points Per GP: 292 Points To Win: >146 Highest Possible Score: 232 Lowest Possible Score: 60
- 2-GP Point Total: 584 (>292 to win, 464 max, 120 min) 3-GP Point Total: 876 (>438 to win, 696 max, 180 min) 4-GP Point Total: 1168 (>584 to win, 928 max, 240 min)

General Info
In order to win a race overall, you need to have at least one player in the top 3. In general, having two or more spots in the top 4 makes winning quite easy especially when you have 1st (1st and 5th still gets decent points because the point difference is only small compared to 5v5 and 4v4).
If your highest position is 3rd, you will need a pretty damn good effort from your team in order to win the race; in fact you'll need 4th then at least 6th in order to win in such a situation.

1st+2 or 3 top 4 Finish - Score Projections
Score Projections for all 1st+at least 2 top 4 placings:
>_> pwn much?
Score Projections for 1st+2nd Placings:
Shows just how important the top 2 placings are in getting a high score. If you have the top 2 spots, your 3rd place player could be as low as 5th for a guaranteed win, and as long as you have at least one racer out of the bottom 3
Score Projections for 1st+3rd Placings:
While still giving a very easy race victory, the absolute lowest your 3rd place player can be is 7th, requiring a 6th place finish as well as a score outside of the bottom 2 in order to guarantee victory.
Score Projections for 1st+4th Placings:
1st+4th still gets you some fairly easy wins because of the top-4 dominance (since 1st+any top 4 spot gets you the most points in the top 4), but they're starting to get a bit harder. If you get any lower than 5th, it's fairly difficult to ensure a race victory. As a general rule - 1st+4th requires at least one other player in the top 6, but if you get 7th, top 4 in the bottom 6 will get you a 1 point lead.
Score Projections for 1st+5th Placings:
Absolute minimum 2nd team placement in order to win a race; 1st+6th will result in a maximum of 35 points. Actually, you also need 6th as well as 5th to even have a sniff at winning.
Score Projections for 2nd+3rd placings:
Suddenly we see why 1st is so damn important. If you get 2nd and 3rd, you need at least 6th to get a decent lead for that race, whereas for any of the 1st+top 4 finishes above, it's so obvious how much more difficult it is to win when your best position is 2nd.
Points Per Race: 61 Points To Win: 31 Highest Possible Score: 51 Lowest Possible Score: 10
- Points Per GP: 244 Points To Win: >122 Highest Possible Score: 204 Lowest Possible Score: 40
- 2-GP Point Total: 488 (>244 to win, 408 max, 80 min) 3-GP Point Total: 732 (>366 to win, 612 max, 120 min) 4-GP Point Total: 976 (>488 to win, 816 max, 160 min)

General Info
Basically 6v6 but with no 7/5 pt positions. This makes 5th place far more valuable than it is in a 6v6 despite having less weighting.
========
All 1st Place Score Projections
Score Projections for 1st+2nd Place:
As with Top 3 in 6v6, top 2 in 5v5 all but guarantees a major race win.
Score Projections for 1st+4th Place:
No guaranteed wins this time. You can't get 1st+4th+9th+10th and still win like you can above. It should probably be noted that 1st+5th+6th+7th+8th gets 30 points (1 point advantage to opposition).
Score Projections for 2nd+3rd Place:
As with 6v6, 2+3 is less valuable than 1+4, HOWEVER since it is so much more important to get 2 players in the top 4 the small deficit faced in the top 4 can still be overcome easily enough, especially due to the point difference between 5th and 6th. 2nd-4th guarantees a win, even if it's only by 1 point.
nice, i axtually did the same kind of analysis while i was bored at work
