Why did he post the thread if he knew that there would be mixed signals on the idea? Not everyones gonna agree with it, so you can just stfu, because for one, this isn't your thread, and two, I can post my opninions if I want, it really won't change if you'de like to disagree otherwise.[/QUOTE=Z E R O]
Oh boy. Out of all the people in this forum you choose to start a fight with me.
The point of making a thread is to make your point heard by everyone. There will be criticism; the point of making criticism is to help the idea become implemented, not by simply saying "this will never work" and leaving numerous criticisms. Of course, you were probably arguing in favour of this thread, and you're probably pointing out these so called "flaws" so to help fill some holes in this idea. I apologize for being extremely forward, as your points need to be respected as well as the thread in the first place, although your so called "flaws" are easily addressed by simply giving it some thought.
If your opinion isn't going to change regardless of the evidence that is brought forward against your position (as you suggest in your post), then I suggest you don't participate in debates that rely on information, as the point of debating is to get your point across. Not changing your opinion is going to cause some flaming to start, as people will get impatient with you.
And to address your points: your problem with users spamming this forum is easily solved. Spamming is a ban-able offense in this forum, and spamming in a forum where you are not permitted to spam will definitely earn you an infraction or possibly a ban. This simple idea has discouraged members from spamming in the past. I don't see why it won't work this time.
Your other point about users disagreeing with moderator decisions: the moderator obviously has more credibility than the user (with exceptions in special situations), therefore the user who complains about decisions should complain formally (key word) to a higher authority who will deal with the situation. Flaming is another ban-able offense and is thus discouraged. The users need to learn that most of the times, taking matters in their own hands will end in failure and therefore in cases like those going to a higher authority is a wiser decision.
