Some useful information is gathered in this thread. I get asked the same question over and over again so I hope people will know much more about the forum and it's features after reading this thread.
This thread combines several threads we had on this forum togheter. You can find it too in the introduce yourself section, but that thread is much more elaborate than this one, and serves as a introduction guide to new members.
In the second post you will find information on your user cp, ranging from how to add an avatar or signature to adding a profile video. The third post answers some questions you may have about the website like how to become a VIP member.
The User Control Panel

To access your User CP, click on the box that says "My Account" at the top right corner if you're on the MKWii Skin.
On the Firestorm skin, just click on "User CP" at the top left corner of your screen.
The User CP should look something like this on the left side:
REMEMBER: Whenever you edit something, don't forget to hit "Save Changes" when you're done.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Edit Your Details
This is where you can edit information about yourself. Firstly, you can place your date of birth on here. After this, you can add your usernames for IM'ing sites. Next, there is additional information. You can add a biography, your location, interests, etc. You can also add your clan tag, which will show up in front of your user name when you post. NOTE: Clan tag will not show on Firestorm Skin. You can even add youtube videos on here. Let's say your URL is http://youtube.com/*watch?v=n_1rSm2MDM4 (without the *). All you would put would be "n_1rSm2MDM4" in the box. Then, you can change the title of the video, and if you put a "1" in the next box, it will automaticall play when someone visits your profile. (All the settings under additional info can also be changed from your profile by hitting "About Me")

Here, you can edit your font, color, and size of your text when you post. NOTE: This is only visible on MKWii Skin. You can also edit your MKWii Stats here which can be viewed on your profile.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Customize Profile
You can edit the way your profile looks in this setting. You can change the font, text colors, and even add background images here. But to add background images, the image has to be uploaded to an album of yours. An easier way to get to this is just to go to your profile and click "Customize Profile" at the top of your profile.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Contacts and Friends
This is where your friend list is. You can have as many friends as you want. If you are friends with someone, you can view their private albums, and some people limit their VM'ing to where only their friends and moderators can VM them.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Social Groups
This is where you can join social groups, or you could make some of your own. If you find a social group you like, you can join it and chat with other people who are in the social group. You can also add pictures from your album to the social groups. Some social groups are invite only, meaning the creator has to invite you.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Pictures and Albums
This is where you can add pictures and put them into different albums. Your albums can be used for GFX, pictures of yourself, profile backgrounds, etc. You have 3 options on what to make your album: Regular (everyone can view it), Private(only contacts and moderators can view it), and Profile (album used for profile backgrounds which members can't view).

Your avatar is an image that is also in every post of yours. It appears next to your username. Below is a picture of what the "Edit Avatar" portion of your User CP looks like.
You can even upload images from your computer to be your avatar, or just put the URL of the image you would like.

Here you can edit your signature. Your signature is a message or messages that everyone can view after you post. You are not allowed to put anything innapropriate in your signature, such as profanity or nudity.

You can also upload images from your computer, just like with your avatar.

Here, you can edit the email address you put in when you registered, or you could change your password.

Here you can use "Invisible mode" which will make you not show up on the "Currently Active Users" list. Or you can make your vCard downloadable. If you allow your vCard to be downloaded, then your e-mail address will be viewable to any members of the forums that download the vCard. You can also can edit your messaging and notification information. I reccomend that you keep Private Messaging on at all times. Also, you can edit your thread display options. All of the options will probably start out as the forum defaults. You can edit your time and date options aswell.

If there is a user whom is annoying you, just add them to your ignore list and that should solve it.

You can't change your username anymore.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Making Spoilers.
Using a spoiler is a useful method if you for example have large portions of text that you want to keep as little as possible, without having to shorten the text. To add something to a spoiler (this can be a piece of text, a link, or anything else), put this into your post and replace the PutContentHere with the thing you want to add in the spoiler:

There is also now a spoiler button to make things easier. If you ever want to use a spoiler, just click the "[SP]" button, right above the smilies whenever you post or to use in your sig.

You may have noticed every member has a Mario Kart Wii item under their username. These items are part of a rank system based on your post count. Check out the spoiler below to see what items go with how much posts.
