A Community Team? - Mario Kart Wii Forum

If we had a small group of users dedicated to improving the overall community by hosting contests, being active, friendly, and courteous, and perhaps sort out a few member disputes (although that may be left to be done by the moderators), perhaps the community would benefit from it?

Or does staff already do that sufficiently?

The moderators I see are not very friendly, I can name only a few friendly ones out of the mods as a whole.

We called this the events team on another wifi forum I main. They organized everything from tournaments to easter egg hunts, having the ability to stick threads and access to a private forum to discuss events with the staff as a whole. I think it could work well at this site.
