Clan tag problem? - Mario Kart Wii

This would really suck for clan tags with more than 3 characters, such as NWFC, [SS], and such.

For some odd reason, I can't seem to have my clan tag more than three characters. I could put it fine in the 'Edit Your Details' box field, but only 3 characters show up next to my forum username, and ultimately, my profile.

I see guys like RosalinaX has no problems with this. Is this a recent change?

If there's a limit, at least make it 5...

Just another add on to this, It also doesnt allow u to put stars for some reason, if that can be fixed, it'd help a lot of clans

I think its for people not to abuse it.
I havent used mine in a long time/changed it. <.<
But I cant be sure. :s

I can see it being abused for super-duper long names to stretch the page, but there are clans with more than 3 characters in their tag (examples provided in first post)

Like I said, at least make it 5.

some people put other things instead of clan tags, like "Deadly" two posts above, I thought that was the problem

Something like that is inevitable, but at least limit it to 5 for the sake of clans like NWFC and such.
