It's too redundant and a spin-off of another already established award. If you were to do that, why not make Kart WR awards and Baby Peach Cheep Charger Automatic Wii Wheel Upside Down with Your Toes Looking Backwards WR award. There really is no need for that award, imo.

The W3R award and the mention of a kart wr award actually make sense; just because you don't use them and won't need them doesn't mean someone else won't. The person who gets a W3R or a Kart WR works just as hard or harder than the person who gets a WR award; just because they aren't on the worldwide top 10 lists, which, lets face it, considering how many tas's are on ww tops, is not hard to do, doesn't mean they deserve it any less than the person who got it using funky and flame runner. Im not saying entirely new awards should be made, but the people who have these records deserve to get the world record award.

Alright, I'd probably say that people with kart world records should definitely have the right of claiming the award. It's a completely different style as apposed to bikes and the kart records are strong and they shouldn't be unrecognised. However, I'm against the idea of the W3R award. It may sound like I'm contridicting myself but it's too exclusive to a particular group who find this method of control easier which isn't fair on the remainder of the players. To make it fair you'd have to bring other awards for the other control methods but that would then cancel put the whole point of the WR award in the first place in my opinion. Sure, Wii Wheel is deemed to be harder to play but maybe there aren't as many wheelers who are at the same levels as some of the GCN'ers out here and that shouldn't really be the reason for the award. There are people on the top 10's who use wheel, even if it's just a few but it's not like the wheel times are many seconds away from the actual world record which is the case for the karters.

Sorry for any typo's that I've made. I have massive fingers and the keys on my iPod are very small.

Entirely valid point. The idea of having different awards for each controller is kind of pointless; Wii wheel is just what most people care about for whatever reason. I think the kart world record award needs to happen though, even if its tacked onto the regular world record award.

Yeah.
Personally, I think it's a good idea at all. It's not an award you have to deserve, it's all about spamming a sentence without meaning it. I also don't get the Warm Welcomer award. I've seen a lot who wished member a good time on the forums after some annoying user had bumped them.

Its okay, but the thing with it is is that it would require for the mods to keep special tabs to give and remove the award, who has it, and making sure that theyre keeping up with it. As for the birthday award in general, its not a good idea. Again, it would be extremely hard to keep track of, and would require paying attention to vms, which, to my knowledge, cannot be tracked or counted.

I think that with those could be a friendly member type award, someone who posts happy birthdays and welcomes and is generally a nice person all around the forums. Of course, to prevent bias from mods (not saying it would happen, but it could) it could be recommend only, and that would also prevent people from requesting it themselves. I'm not sure if this has been brought up already, but it doesn't seem like too bad of an idea.
