Our MKWii war record
We have come primarily as a shock to the MKWii community. All of a sudden, the Star Dashers and Kira Team, two well established and respectable high-level clans, had fallen to a name unthought of in a clan war tournament. It seemed almost unconceivable. "I have to say, I'm surprised WT has gotten this far... statistically, I didn't know what to expect", said CrazyAce even before our victory over Kira Team.
But [wt] didn't literally come out of nowhere or start as a few people escaping from one clan to form another.
We are an established clan throughout the Wii community that has been around for over a year. Allow us to introduce ourselves:
The Mission
The Wii Troopers is not any ordinary "clan". We are, more accurately, a competitive gaming society that has supported the Wii's gaming elite with the utmost efficiency. But since some of you probably couldn't read that, let me translate:
We bring together people who play video games at a competitive level and give them a good environment to talk about new tactics, play the game without being called "cheap" by underexperienced players, and overall have fun as a community.
It is not just in Mario Kart Wii that we aim to do this.
We are already a respected name in Mario Strikers Charged, Medal of Honors: Heroes 2, and Super Smash Bros. Brawl, and hope to bring together a great community of those who want to be elite in each Wii game. Ask around the communites for each game I mentioned about the Wii Troopers, and you'll get the response that we're the most skilled (or you'll be told that we're merely tough by our enemies).
But hold it. We're not just a bunch of people who do good as individuals.
[wt] has a strong emphasis on teamwork both in Medal of Honor: Heroes 2 and Mario Kart Wii alike. All of our players use skype while playing competitively and our teamwork and chemistry bring us together in a way few, if any, clans have done before.
Our chemistry also exists outside of gameplay. As well as clanmates, almost all people in [wt] have good friends who would not dare leave the other.
It's a wonderful thing when you are taking the world by storm alongside a good pal of yours, and [wt] doesn't ignore that. Our clan has, throughout its year of existence, had almost no "breakups", clan splits, or leadership struggles for this very reason.
I've said enough, and it all comes down to this:
It's very tempting to join or even stop by [wt]. Even our enemies stop by the chat for a good game or a good discussion. And even more importantly, I can't say absolutely everything about [wt] in one post.
I definitely recommend taking a direct tour of us, from the main chat to our MKWii-dedicated chatroom. Even if you aren't somehow tempted to join us, it'll be somewhere nice to stop by to talk to people who love a good old fashioned competitive game or two.
Questions and Answers
Q: I'm interesting in joining! How do I join?
A: To join us, you must fill out an "application" on the forums declaring your intent to join us for a specific game. Afterwards, you will be subjected to a "tryout system". In the case of MKWii, you will fight 3 testers in a 1v1 GP, each of who will determine your ability on a scale of 1-10. If you manage to stay 8 or above in each tester's rating, you're in!
Q: I'm not sure if I'm ready yet...
A: You never know until you try. Also, we're glad to train anyone who wants to become a [wt] in the future. And remember, if you don't make your first tryout, you can always do it again!
Q: How do I get to the MKWii-specific chatroom?
A: Type in the following "command" on the chatroom to reach our MKWii-specific chat:
/join #wtkart
Q: I'd like to war the Wii Troopers!
A: Awesome! There's nothing better we like than a good war. However, it has to be planned out and agreed on. First, you must register on the forums. Second, you must challenge us in the "challenge the clan" section of the forums with details about when and how you want to do it (i.e. so and so date, X GPs, etc). Third and finally, we will have to agree on it after checking who is available on certain dates. Understand that we work in a very "official" manner.
Q: Do I need skype to join [wt]?
A: No. However, skype
will increase your chance of getting into wars.
Q: What is your war record for MKWii?
A: Click the link at the top of the page and you'll go directly to the war record topic on our forums.
Q: What's up with all the lion imagery?
A: This is a secret you'll only know if you're in [wt]!
Q: Who is the leader of this clan?
A: There is no real leader. [wt] began as a clan led by Bug, but he has retired from gaming and [wt] altogether. He is still technically the leader, but we have never created a true replacement for him due to the fact that our clan doesn't get into fights / power struggles / etc often. It could be said, however, that Zzz is the spiritual successor to Bug, but he does not manage the clan as a whole, and especially does not have control over our MKWii division, which is led by JTRamboman.
Q: Is it true that you guys offer cookies AND pie to potential tryouts?
A: Yes.
