yea , everyone spent some time to get 9999 the 1st time , i still dont get why do some person consider it so special they stop playing WW after getting it but.. oh well

I think VR just describes the average level of the racers , not to be considered as a trophy or feeling bad about losing it , it doesnt unlock anything or give you any special status , so why?
hard work?
half lapping 6000-7000 racers on Luigi Circuit /Coconut Mall praying for no blue shell?
losing -170 due to item rape and winning 17 races in row against those same racers to earn it back?
beating the occasional 8500 player that comes by and get +30 instead of +10?

and you're really proud of that way of getting 9999?

personally i just consider WW a great alternative to rooms :
-no need to wait for everyone to join
-no need to wait 4 races to join
-no hoster d/c
-not stuck with 100cc,150cc or mirror for 4 races
-someone can join as soon as someone leaves
-people on your friend list can join but also people on your friends friend lists can join etc... = more good players you dont even know

tl;dr : VR is SERIOUS business , some people even create alts , not because their friend lists are full but because they have 9999 on one license. seriously -_-.
