Here it is, the first chapter in my fiction of Rosalina and her adventures through space. My chapters however may be long and some of you may just thinking "tl;dr" but please take the time to read it through...
Chapter 1
The Dying Planet:
The tales in this story depict the chronicles of Princess Rosalina, the Star Princess, and her further journeys through space with the mythical galactic beings known as Luma. These stories begin immidietly after the plans of a terrible monster lord were thwarted by a heroic mustached individual, and the Grand Stars returned to Rosalina's starship, the Comet Observatory. We begin from the moment everything is normal...
She was well aware of what the Star Festival was, and that so many people on her home world celebrated it, the passing of the Great Comet every 100 years. She felt honoured to be respected in an inadvertant way by the people there but her true reason for passing this planet was far different from what the citizens of that planet believed. Her mother's grave, buried upon the hill near her former home. This was her reason. Paying her respects to her deceased mother, whom she had not known for a majority of her later life. It was always an emotional visit for her, and her companions, the Luma, always knew this and comforted her should it break her down. Fortunetely this wasnt one of those times. Her joy for the end of recent events still lingered and she felt able to return to her ship without further delay.
As she strode towards the Gateway back, he Luma companions flittering playfully about her, a bright red coloured version of the Luma shot forth from it, crashing amongst the others, much to their disdain. Rosalina giggled at this. She knew it common nature for the Luma's to be a little eager about some things and events like this were frequent. Pick up the dazed Red Luma from the ground, she asked in her polite tone "What is it, Reverani?"
Upon hearing his Mama's voice, Reverani hopped from her grasp and span about, obviously his way of "shaking off" a daze.
"Mama Rosalina! Polari says something important is happening! He says you should come see!" the Luma chirped in a high pitched voice. Rosalina seemed fairly adamant at this stage now, the smile fading from her face but not becoming a frown. Reverani spoke up once more.
"He says its the BAD kind of important!" it said, rather childishly for the importance of the message.
Now Rosalina had picked up her pace, gesturing for the Luma's to come along so that they could leave. As they entered the the expansive Comet Observatory, the other Luma's drifted off to other parts of the Observatory, presumably to play, however Rosalina and Reverani had one important place to go. Their goal was near where a dark coloured Luma said. This was Polari, the Elder Luma, and advisor to Princess Rosalina. Upon noticing her presence, Polari span about hastily.
"M'lady Rosalina! It's good to see you!" he spoke in a deeper tone than Reverani did, whom at the present moment was now drifting about in a daydream. Rosalina nodded to Polari.
"And to you too, Polari, what is it you wanted me to see?" she spoke bluntly. Polari did not delay in activating the Observatory's screen. When it flickered alight, a wide space of the Universe, mapped out completely, was displayed. A small radar signal was pinging from one of the planets. Polari, now brandishing a pointer stick, prodded at the planet the signal was coming from.
"This, M'lady. It is an energy signal." he said, looking over to Rosalina.
"Yes, and what of it?" Rosalina returned.
"It's a fading energy signal. Stars give off this signal when they are about to die, as you know..." Polari trailed.
"But this...is a planet. It should not be giving off a dying energy wave unless something has disturbed the the Star Power of the planet itself." Rosalina looked up to the map. She pointed her finger up to it.
"We must go there, Polari, and investigate this anomaly." she said. Polari, needing no further indication, called to the other Luma's to be ready for the ship to head out.
Upon recieving this signal, many Luma's retreated into the different Domes of the Observatory. Upon all of them being safely inside, the process began. Many parts of the ship began to rearrange themselves, as Rosalina gracefully flew upwards. The parts began fitting together, clanking as they combined. The end result was the Observatory looking more like a Rocket Ship, and so it was. As Rosalina waved her wand, a powerful bluish aura surrounded the ship, and it lurched forward at great speed, blasting through the Universe to it's destination, the dying planet.
The denizens of the Mushroom Kingdom marked the departure of the Comet as the end of the Star Festival, but of course only a few truly knew what the comet really was. Staring up into the sky, Mario, Luigi and Princess Peach waved farewell to Rosalina as the comet shot forth, out into the deeper reaches of space...
I've waited for this to be written, and it didn't disappoint. You gave the Reverani a very creative name, which shows that you've obviously thought about this well. The sequence as the Comet Observatory transforms into a rocket ship is written well, and I could picture it in my head happening. I'm eager to learn about the mission ahead ^_^ Well done, Galactic Princess!

Thank you. So far it's been quite fun to imagine up different fantasy concepts for this fiction, I'm looking forward to what I can conjur up in later chapters...
I'll try to keep up with a part a day, if that's what you wish to know, so next part may be tomorow, if I dont get the urge to do another part today....
Well done! I am immpressed! Great story! Keep it up.
^Thanks to Weapon X for this awesome sig!

Well done! I am immpressed! Great story! Keep it up.
Thanks you, Ray. As for tonight, I actually will do a second chapter... cause I feel like it and just need to write something. So expect another one up by later tonight.
It did not take the starship long to reach the planet, having moved at a phenomenal pace through the universe. Upon reaching a local distance to the planet, the Observatory slowed, and piece by piece it detatched itself and returned to it's previous form. Rosalina landed lightly to the ground, Polari now taking her side. Giving out another call, the Luma reemerged from the domes and fluttered about rather dizzily. The trip obviously isnt steady for them, but having done it so often, they recovered soon enough. Except of course for Reverani. Knocking Polari aside and glancing past Rosalina were just a couple of the things he did after poking out from the Garden Dome. But he soon regained his balance and fluttered up next to Rosalina.
She had taken a moment of thought, contemplating on the situation, as she watched Polari drift by to the opening platform of the Observatory. But her thoughts were broken by Polari's call. Walking swiftly down the glass walkway, she gazed up, following Polari's stubby little arm pointing upwards. A rather dismal sight befell her however. The whole planet was a murky grey and brown tint. She could not tell if this was water. Or clouds. Or simply the barren landscape of a dying planet. But she took heed of the city formations below. Clearly this planet had denizens, but this planet was presently Unregistered in the Observatory database. It was marked as a simple colonised planet, nothing vital of note. But this anomally, such a dark shroud over it, needed to be investigated. Rosalina turned her head to Reverani, whom seemed to notice this and hovered still, as though standing to attention.
"Reverani, I wish for you to accompany me down to this planet... Something beyond our knowledge is at work on this planet and we must find out." she pulled her hand up to Polari who had lurched forward to interject her decision.
"Polari, Reverani, I feel, is most suitable to accompany me. I need you to stay and keep the others in order and ensure they aren't frightened by this turn of events."
She nodded to Polari, who could do nothing more than agree and nod. He flew back towards the screen, now keeping a watchful eye on it, and all the Luma's, still happily playing around.
"Shall we go then?" Rosalina asked Reverani, whom bounced excitedly in his midair spot.
"Yes Mama! Yes Mama!" he said ecstatically. Watching her raise her wand once more, Rosalina and Reverani were engulfed in a bright light. A wooshing sensation filled Reverani during this time. All he could tell was that they were moving, and moving very fast.
Polari, watching a pair of Luma dance about on the underbelly of the Observatory, had his attention drawn by another pinging sound on the monitor. A planet, not far from the present one they orbited, was also emitting an energy signal. Polari could not accept this fact, two planets suffered the same disturbance. But he just had to check. Flying up to the top of the Observatory, he hovered beside the cone of it's peak, his hand tracing across for the planet in question. He caught glimpse of it eventually. It was mostly visible, not much detail could be formed. But it was slowly transforming to the dark shade than enshrouded the planet they sat beside.
"...It cannot be a chain effect..." he mumbled, falling down to the surface of the cone. "..it simply cant..."
A bright light blinded the poor Reverani, but after it faded, he wished for it back. The landscape was grotesque. A dust filled wasteland, any plant life that exist was visibly rotting. Trees had fallen under their own weight. And in the distance, the cries of many people could be heard... It came from the nearby city. Rosalina had bought them to, what she had hoped, was the centre of this planet's civilisation. Striding towards it's gate, Reverani had to catch up in a hurry. But it was not long before Rosalina found herself needing to dart past many people, whom had come charging forth from the city, obviously in hopes of escaping their unknown fate. Amongst this planet's races were Toads, Noki's, Pianta's and a new race to her understanding. Humanoid, like herself with long distinctive pointed ears. However this definition of this race being new didnt last long. She reminded herself of the existance of a land called "Hyrule" on a distant planet...
"Mama!" Reverani yelled as it bashed into Rosalina, knocking her out of the path of a large charging Pianta. Seeing the imminent danger she could have been in, she thanked the red Luma, and it span about with pride.
The city was now deserted, and she had no doubt on that, what with all the people that had charged out from it. It was probably a beautiful city, juding on her views of architecture. But a thing called entropy was taking place everywhere, and even buildings were becoming affected. They looked dismal and ready to colapse.
"Reverani, I suggest caution. This place could fall down at any moment..."
Many Mushroom Cars littered the streets, clearly abandonned, but this civilisation must have been advanced. Moreso than the Mushroom Kingdom, society wise.
"Mama! Mama! Someone is asleep!" Reverani cried. Rosalina's observation of the buildings and roads had led her to forget the possibility of other presences. She walked over calmly to the fallen person.
It was a human girl. Rosalina knew humans were a rarity... She had only known a few in her lifetime and those were only recently. It was quite a shock to see this person here, and in such a state also. Her face was covered with dust marks and she had clearly been knocked aside. The girl was not large in stature, perhaps being quite small compared to all the others she had witnessed. Something was...strange though.
Hearing the crack of the building was the sign to move though, and a dangerous situation it was. Rosalina, being the only able, grabbed the girl underneath her arms and dragged her away from the position of the falling concrete. All these events were exciting Reverani immensly but Rosalina waved her hand downwards to calm him down. He slowly floated down beside the face of the girl and looked at her. He was taken aback though when the girl's eyes flickered open.
"Mama, look! She's awake!" Reverani prodded at the girl, who giggled with a high pitched tone. She was obviously quite young too. This girl turned to look up at the figure of Rosalina. Rosalina gave a warm smile down to her and offered her hand. Taking it, the girl heard Rosalina ask her something.
"Are you okay?" she asked politely, pulling the girl up. She was quite light too. As she stood, many of her features were visible. Deep chestnut coloured hair and bright blue eyes. Much of her hair was tarnished and frizzy though, by dust and dirt. She coughed momentarily before nodding at Rosalina.
"What's your name?" she asked one question at a time, knowing the girl might become panicky.
"Sola. My name is Sola." the girl responded, watch Reverani dance playfully around. But her eyes locked at the colour of the sky. "Miss, the sky is dark and I have something I must do." she said, childlike and innocent. Rosalina was suprised by this abrupt behaviour though.
"What is it?" she asked in response.
"I must talk to the planet!" she said bluntly. Rosalina simply stared for a moment. She muttered something under her breath though.
"A Star Singer?" she spoke quietly. Sola and Reverani did not hear her, but Rosalina knew what she had to do.
"I will accompany you. I cant imagine you being able to manage on your own, what with your current state..." she covered up her present thoughts. Sola nodded to her though, thanking her for the help.
And so began a journey in the city. The girl, Sola spoke of "the opening to the planet, guarded by some strange thing that poked out of the ground when all this mess started." She was the pinnacle of innocence however, with a rather bright atmosphere about things despite the current situation. That's no doubt why her and Reverani are getting on so well..."
This is shaping up to be very exciting. I love Reverani's character, and this Sola seems quite charming, I can't wait to hear of her job as a Star Singer. Well done, GP.
