Note-This is a pokemon story. Just saying.

Prologue
The one place you are always sure to find yourself happy is all around you. Grodasoth City is as busy and exciting as always, the stores and activity, people walking around parks, breathtaking pokemon battles, and the sight of one of the world's most popular tourist attractions, the amazing Mt. Geitz, named after the man who found a cave inside it. He has been rarely seen since he completed the path through the cave and announced he'd blast further. This was on earth, and this was the time where Light, a young girl that chased away sadness, was happy. The night after she went exploring in abandoned tunnels in Mt. Geitz, she took her last breath.

Great beggining. I'm happy you made this sort of small story inside the prologue. That's how it should be, as long as it doesn't directly relate to what's to come in the actual story.

I like it so far. Not much to bla about, but please post more.

There is a meaning for wings that cannot fly!
It's a precious memory of when you once flew in the sky.
Code Geass * AIR * Shakugan no Shana * H2O * Clannad
is of course, bored.

~Wrote the third chapter, and must say, it's the shortest of all three. Not as short as the prologue, though. It'd barely be a chapter if it was like that.

Chapter 1

Waking up, Joe, nicknamed 'Krow' because of the first syllable of his last name, looked out the window to see not a patch of sunlight or blue sky. Everything was dark and gloomy, gray clouds all over. Though it wasn't raining, the air seemed heavy and moist. Joe could tell this already, and knew the day wouldn't be a great one. He got out of bed and got dressed. He wore jeans (worn at the knees), a red t-shirt with a pokeball design covering the top left side of his upper body, a dark blue hooded sweatshirt, a pokeball-logo baseball cap, and sneakers. He had blue eyes and dirty blonde hair. He went down to the kitchen to have breakfast.

"Joe, is that you?" a woman's voice called as he walked down the stairs to ground level.
"Yeah, mom. It's me."
"Food's on the table," she replied.
He sat down and looked at the plate. A huge waffle with the design of a pokeball stared at him as he stared back. "Use bubble!" he grumbled pessimistically. His eyes widened as a bubble of syrup started to grow from the center of the circle until it popped, leaving the maple syrup over the waffle.
"I put that there, not Mom," another girl's voice said. Joe turned his head to see his sister laughing. Joe groaned and ate, and acted hurried to leave. He grabbed three pokeballs, clipped them to a belt he put on, and went outside.
Living in a suburb neighboring Grotasoth, he got his bike from the garage and started to pedal down his street towards the city. "Hey, Krow!" a voice broke the silence of the dark morning.
"Yes, Rick?" Joe responded, recognizing the voice. It was a kid who lived down the block, his age, fourteen, and his best friend.
"You know what I'm gonna say," he sighed.
Joe laughed, and responded saying, "You want to battle?"
"You want to let me say it next time?" Rick joked, unclipping a pokeball of his own.
"Nope!" Joe smiled widely, readying himself to shout the name of the pokemon Rick was sure to use first just before it was visible.

For the record, this story gets better and better. And to be honest with you, I was thinking about the middle/end when I started writing this, and at first there wasn't a being named Light, it just meant as in Light and Darkness. But hey, things change through the editing process.

Chapter Two

“Hi, Wigglytuff!” Joe said in a fake extremely happy tone. Stars flew and a wigglytuff did appear.
“And of course, you’ll be using...” Rick was cut off by the motion of Joe’s arm swinging and the pokeball flying. Out came a Chatot.
“... Chatot.” Rich finished in a not-so-enthusiastic tone.
Rick got right back up and started the battle. “Doubleslap!” The balloon pokemon ran up to Chatot, hands swinging behind. When close to the bird, there was a blur of pink as Wigglytuff threw his right arm forward. It was a hit, the colorful feathers flying around as Chatot shook off the paralysis, which was swinging back at him in the form of a small pink arm.
“Peck!” The moment seemed to freeze. Chatot flew up off the ground an inch or so, turned his head, and put his beak forward, making contact with the attacking hand. Rick blinked and looked again, thinking what just occurred couldn’t have happened. “Chatter!” Joe instructed his battler, almost laughing as it said what Joe had trained it to, “Ha ha haha ha, you are confused now!” in a way that was a short song. Wigglytuff stood still, frowning, crossed its eyes, and slapped itself in the face. “Mimic!” Chatot, flew up to the confused Wigglytuff and pulled back a wing, preparing the double-slap used by the pink warrior earlier. “Sing, Wigglytuff!” A few notes came out, but they were out of tune and sounded bad. Rick moaned.
As the rainbow bird was about to hit Wigglytuff’s cheek, the attack was changed with another single word, the one most recently said. “Sing.” Right in front of Wigglytuff, Chatot started to send beautiful notes from his beak. Wigglytuff shook his head, the confusion had just about worn off. “Bounce up and avoid listening, Wigglytuff!” Rick yelled, desperate, afraid that the battle was about to end, not in his favor.
It was too late. Rick’s pokemon had its eyes closed and started leaning back. It fell, sound asleep. Chatot stopped singing. Joe looked up, straight at Rick. It was clear that the battle had ended.

Wigglytuff half-opened one eye, and smiled.
It all happened in a flash. Wigglytuff was up and confronted Chatot, knocking him to the floor. They both got up, and stood in battle stance, though there was no way they could continue fighting.
“That’s enough, Wigglytuff.”
“It’s over, Chatot.”
Rick held up a pokeball and his pokemon returned to it. Joe didn’t do the same. “What are you doing, Krow?” his curious friend asked.
“The weather is really bad, and the clouds are so heavy that it’s foggy. A defog will be nice.” Joe turned to face Chatot, who was listening for orders. “Fly up over the clouds and Defog. That okay?” Chatot nodded and went straight up. “Now we watch,” Joe sighed.
A few minutes later, the bird came falling down, trying to get to the ground as quickly as it could. The facial expression on it proved it had been quite frightened. Joe looked up. There was a tiny hole in the sea of clouds where the bird had fallen through. There was no blue sky, though.
It was pitch black.
