So I'm kind of a beginner to sig making, and I need some help at it. I've had experience before, but I'm starting to get a lot better at it. I recently made a luigi signature (the one currently in my signature) and I think it turned out pretty good for someone who hadn't made sigs in a year.

Anyways, let's get to the point. I made a new sig and I need some help on it. For one, I think I need to add some smudging to it, which is something I don't know how to do. As well I'd like to add brushes to gimp, but I have no idea how it works (I've seen the tutorials for it and they've all confused me).

I just want critiques on this sig, and I would use it, but I don't have permission to use the picture yet (I got it from DeviantArt, and i already asked for permission, I'm just waiting for a reply). Thanks in advanced!

P.S. It's a Rosalina sig

duplicata the render layer. and on the back layer do a motion blur to the top riggt direction on a lenth of about 40, duplicete the blurred layer and set the back layers mode to overlay and lower the opacity and also lower the opacity on the front blurred layer

download your brushes then go to

C:\Program Files\GIMP-2.0 then share gimp then 2.0 then brushes and paste your brushes in there

No problem, I figured out how to blur it in a different way.

Anyways I was kind of hoping for some critiques. If not then I'll assume it's perfect (which I know it's not).

ok well, the text needs some work, i think you should play with the layer modes some and get it to blend
It looks like you just slapped a render on the a background. you need a light source, (thanksto matt for teaching me this-- at least in a little more depth than i already knew)
maybe up in the left hand corner, cause thats where luigi is pointing, work on that for now, when you get that done let me know

I know that. I'm saying that I'm assuming it will be considered perfect because no one has anything to critique it with.
Anyways, do you have any suggestions on how to make my next sig better?
