I wouldn't say it's the "official" tier list. However it is the most respected one made so far. As for what I would change would be Diddy Kong. I think he deserves to be in high tier.

Well, by 'official', I meant straight from SmashBoards, the guys who even make the tier lists in the first place. =p But what I want to know is why Peach is so high, Olimar dropped to mid tier, and how Ganondorf got that high. My true concern is, how the **** is Yoshi better than Capt. Falcon? Capt. Falcon has tons of ATs in the game, while Yoshi has none. It doesn't make sense to me. x.x

im surprised link is bottom tier. Yeah, his recovery is terrible this game but seriously...

Peach has the best mindgames in the game. Again.
Olimar's beaten by anyone who can outcamp him, and he doesn't win in tourneys anymore.
Ganny, I assume it's because people are afraid to get within 5 feet without getting Ganon Grabbed.

As for Yoshi > Falcon, are these ATs particularly useful? Both Pit and Link have highly technical gameplay concerning ATs, and you don't see them dominating tiers.

I main Peach and I didn't think she was that good either, I know she has a good approach, projectile, recovery and very nice combo/psuedo combo ability. However one of her main damage racking moves happens to be her main KO move, she doesn't have a good time KO'ing normally and she's light, which is very unfortunate. I don't think she's that high, however I can sort of understand why she's that high.

Olimar I would think is better than Peach (although the match-up against her isn't) however the advantages and disadvantages are sort of inverted for him. His recovery is arguably the easiest to gimp in the game (with Ivysaur, Link and Ike being the other contenders.) However he doesn't have trouble KO'ing and can out camp pretty much every character in the game (sort of suits his character,) along with having a looong grab that isn't as punishable as a tether. He can build damage easy (which he has in common with Peach) and can KO as well, while this would be looked on as making him much better, he doesn't have as good of a recovery as Peach does. With everything put together, I think Olimar is better.

I'm as lost as you are on the Ganon thing.

Yoshi actually does have a lot of AT's, although I don't know all of them I know he has a ledge drop egg toss, good pivot grab and a psuedo-wavedash, labeled by them as Dragonic Reverse (wierd name I know.) All this considered I don't know much about CF or Yoshi, but AT's don't make up everything, so I can't really show much of an opinion on this because I don't know much about either character.

Yep. Capt. Falcon can greatly extend the reach of his F-Smash, along with more. Pit actually did very well. I'm surprised he made the jump from mid tier to high tier, even over Wario.
