Nintendo's image is basically based on the mayhem items bring along.
Although, I think we could've survived without the gay TC tbh.

Using items requires some skill too, ya know ~

I don't like playing with A LOT of smash balls, assists trophies, guns, or pokeballs only because they always seem to respond right next to the person whos trying to kill me, but i LOVE baseball bats, bumpers, smart bombs, and almost every other item

The Snake used Grenades for spacing. Same with the MK constantly attacking. Snake can't break through a massive wall of MK fairs and nairs, so he grenade cancelled grenades and attacked that way. Pretty smart imo. Having items makes the game too random and the better player doesn't always win. I'd rather learn from a loss than win because my opponent hit a spawning bomb or something.

I prefer no items, but items are OK. I really hate it though when people spam only stupid items (explosive crates, bob-ombs, smart bombs, hammers, etc), I think it takes the fun out of Brawl and makes a a little TOO random.

BRAWL WAS MENT TO BE FUN, not a clonemachine of Pizza and making that "Items is not l33t for l33ts" gameplayer wherever you go...

I don't care if i lose in a room filled with items that is basicly just random, i just wanna have fun ;D

Fun is subjective. No items is fun for me and a major part of the community.

Of course you need items. Video Games aren't about pure skill; it's about fun!
