Let me explain. I joined in April, but since June, so many things here just really annoyed me. It's upsetting because it's things that usually annoy other users or those who consistently target other members that annoys me.
I won't go into naming any individuals since that's wrong, but I'll mention one since he wouldn't be offended anyway; Wii Killer. That idiot is making the place dull for those who want to have a bit of fun on the forum and annoys the pain out of those who are new. The fact that he keeps returning is really painful to new members. I know the staff do their best to prevent him from getting on the site.
Other things include overreaction at nearly anything. This is the forum where I've seen people overreact the most at changes they don't like. It was like world war 3 when the signature limit thing happened. Then when a moderator got upset because of being flamed, I thought it was unbelieveable. Just by banning a friend. Sheesh. Cop on. Yes, I know that soon ended by apologies etc, so I won't go into that.
When I was new and had little posts, I noticed how much people would flame me if I was to make a disagreeable post. Nowadays, when I do this, I don't get flamed... at all. That's another thing that annoys me here. It's the fact that that it's like new members have to go through survival camp or something.
A typical new member who makes an accidental spam post is ok. But what happens? That member gets flamed to hell. If I was to make a spam post, someone might just say "Don't spam, ok?
", and that's it.
I feel really sorry for new members here that the fact is that they get treated harshly. Also, what shocks me is that popular members seem to be really annoyed at new people here. So so shocking I must say. >_>
Some people can get away with so much flaming, even by no infraction. If a new person was to do that, ban hammer would crush asap.
So popularity annoys me here the most, but there's other things that pee me off so much here too that I want to kill someone.
Who cares also if people talk about Mario Kart Wii a lot here? That's the main purpose this forum serves. I notice how much it annoys members who joined long ago. Just don't reply or anything.
General discussion thread is such the biggest joke I ever came across. However, I seem to have fun there. Why? Once again, 4000+ posts. Whenever someone who never posted in the thread before posts, they must prepare to wear anti flame suit. It happened to me a lot when I first posted there, but yeah, such a joke.
Also in that thread, people say hi, good morning. Then someone starts a new, interesting topic, at then the person who said hi an hour ago then says "I'm bored. You killed the thread."
Some people ever post spam or so bored and never get flamed from it. Simple. Their post count.
Most of this is caused by one thing:
Post Count
Some people seem to depend their life on it and the world will end for them if they don't have enough posts. Post count never mattered!!!
Also, when someone posts an interesting controversial topic, it's usually the same people who start a fight. Once again, not naming individuals.
Anyway, after spending 20 minutes posting this, I'm going to see what people may think of this. Anyway, so yeah.
EDIT: However, post count isn't the only reason why this happens, but it's the main culprit. Another reason may be because someone is someone else's best friend and never correct or be mean to them. That's a big enough reason why this happens too.
Also, I made this thread because nobody really tend to discuss these things. I haven't been the angel all the time myself, but you get the big deal.
