So... I need help with editing the lava on BCWii. I need to edit it to a greenish black for a texture hack. I know it involves editing the MDL0 to change the color but what file do I change and through what program?

Use HxD to edit the MDL0 with hex values or BrawlBox to edit the TEV Color Block maybe, im not experienced with editing MDl0 and so this may be false but just a suggestion s: But I dont understand what you mean by what file do I change.

Bump, I have the MDL0 file open in a hex editor, what offset do I go to? I think I can get it from that point.

You're better off using BrawlBox to edit the lava color, it's MUCH easier. You edit TEV Color Block I think, in the yougan(?). Sorry I'm just going by memory since I haven't done this in a while lol.

So I edited the file shown in this picture along with the one under course2:



The one on the right is Shadow Bowser's Castle which has working lava edits. I changed the RGB values to and received a freeze. Did I do anything wrong or forget a step?
Is it because the files on the right are named differently?
