It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...

So, Christmas is almost here, and I have one week left at school before the two week Christmas holidays, yay.

The good:
I should be getting some cool presents this year, including a GBA that I'm planning to buy soon, along with some old Pokémon games (namely Yellow, Crystal, and FireRed), as since my DS lite broke, I haven't been able to play my currently owned GBA games, and they don't play on 3DS, which plays DS games, and GBA is cheaper than DS lite, so yeah. Basically GBA plays GB, GBC and GBA games, whereas DS lite only plays DS and GBA games, and 3DS plays DS games anyway. GBA is cheaper than DS lite too, so overall it's better getting a GBA. But anyway, anyone who is knowledgeable about gaming and Nintendo consoles knows this already. xD
Speaking of 3DS, my mum might have let slip that my dad and step-mum were planning to get me one for Christmas (squees excitedly). This was a few months ago when they said this though - hopefully they haven't changed their minds.
Other things I'll be getting hopefully are some CDs that I'd like, including Rihanna's latest (Talk That Talk), plus Ceremonials by Florence + the Machine, and maybe a couple of Beyoncé albums. inb4ewww
Presents from my grandmother arrived today (technically yesterday actually, since it's 2:20am now), too, and there are quite a few. Somehow my Grandma, in her old age, has managed to spell my name wrong on all of mine. xD
Also got some money from my uncle and some other relative (my second cousin or something, I think) the other day, plus some money from my grandma yesterday (with an apology note for spelling my name wrong on all of my presents, bless her xD), so I have £65 now, some of which I will be spending on the previously mentioned GBA.

So yeah, not a bad Christmas in terms of presents really. I'm going to be at my dad's this Christmas, and while I'll miss my mum, it'll be fun being with my dad and my step-mum and her huge family on Christmas Day. It'll be hectic, but fun. Besides, I'm coming home for New Year, so I'll get to be with my mum for that.
My dad will be taking me Christmas shopping when I go round next week, to buy presents for my mum and step-mum, and then I'll probably be going out shopping with my step-mum to buy presents for my dad, so that'll be fun. I love buying presents for people. :>
Just writing this has made me realise how awesome this Christmas is shaping up to be. Yay. <3

What would make this Christmas perfect (or almost perfect) is if it would actually snow, like, properly, ON Christmas Day. We got close last year, but I want it to actually snow on the day this time around. I know it probably won't happen, but I can dream.

The bad:
Unfortunately, I also have work. And tons of it. I don't even want to think about how much I have to catch up on and complete by the time I go back to school in January. There's ICT that I still haven't completed from a couple of YEARS ago (lmao Dx). I have a Pass on it, but if I want to get into the higher marks (Merit or Distinction), I'm gonna have to improve it quite a bit. Then there's the other ICT that we've been doing this year that will need to be completed and improved. Then there's my Graphics that I'm severely behind on (I currently have about a D/E because I'm so behind). I then will probably have English homework since my exams are coming up in January, plus I have some big essay project thing to finish too, so yeah. ♥♥♥♥ loads of work, and I'm usually a lazy ♥♥♥♥ who procrastinates almost all the time when I have homework, so this is gonna be a real challenge, and I have to fit all this Christmas stuff somewhere in between. Oh, and did I mention all the Geography hw too? Dx
Bleh, it's my own fault for not doing most of this work earlier, like, when it was actually due to be done. Maybe one day I'll learn my lesson.

And now, just writing this has made me realise why this Christmas can't be as awesome as it was looking to be in the above "good" section. Bleh.

The ugly:
Here I am up at 3am writing this blog (yes, it has taken me 40 minutes, proof-reading and such), instead of sleeping like I should be, since I have school tomorro-today. :L

So besides me ruining half my Christmas by dumping a load of work on myself to do over the holidays 'cause I didn't do it earlier, the other half is promising to be awesome. :D
Who the hell am I trying to kid? I'm NEVER gonna get all that work done. xD
-sits back and plays on new GBA I'm going to get-

At this special time of year
I'm so very glad you're here

Sounds like a pretty good Christmas. I wish it would snow here too, we get a little at least once a year but almost never on Christmas, and rarely for very long.
