And generally, it had been a really good year. Looking back on my last main blog to remind myself: nothing much happened January - March, had an amazing birthday in April, May and June were exams but they went well, summer was pretty good, though I didn't do much, and I got my exam results at the end of August which were pretty darn good, so I was happy with that. I was in a pretty good place tbh.

Then the rest of the year came.

My dog, Gem, has been ill over the past week or so, and wasn't getting any better. She had been throwing up and had stopped, but her eyes and skin were yellow, i.e. she had jaundice and she kept getting really weak and exhausted, even after she'd seemed to perk up a bit. My mum took her to the vets yesterday to get it checked out, and they ran some tests and basically the results were that she had liver failure and probable kidney failure. If it could actually be reversed somehow, it would take...

So it seems I haven't blogged since Christmas apart from one blog about a scare we had with my grandmother and another kind of small blog in February which was mainly about Christmas, so I guess I'll post about what I can remember about the last 6 months.

So... my mum just came in to my room, and basically told me that my grandmother is on the verge of a heart attack... her lungs are close to giving out or something.

EDIT: Ok, so update. She went to hospital and... Turns out that my grandma got some tablets for this lung infection on Saturday, but, being herself, has not been taking the amount she should have been taking (one tablet she's supposed...
