Oh no! Foul Rain!

So, this morning I go along and stroll towards my bus stop. I get to the block I always go on to get to the main road, and alas!
What is this?! I can't get past here! I think to myself and pull my Ipod out to check the time. 6:55. Hmm... I must run through it, as walking back down this block will have me miss the bus. I see a small little island in the road, and that is what I aim to get to. I get on my tippy toes, and put my food in the icky puddle. Then I thought. Haha, this isn't so bad after all! I start running and hell, it was at least to my ankles. Luckily as my foot hit the ground my feet didn't get drenched.
God dammit, rain/puddle. Why did you have to do this to my shoes?! They're all dull and not vibrant! Luckily, the water didn't get my socks so bad. I was a survivor that day. I didn't have to sit in school with drenched, pruney feet.
As I walked up the street, I saw a storm drain and thought "Why isn't the water going down it? Oh...oh crap, the storm drain is full of water."
And that's how my morning went.
