And if you got a problem with that, you can take it up with the honey badger. He don't give a ♥♥♥♥, he just takes what he wants.

Well, it's been a little while since I've blogged, and since spring break is starting I figured it's about time that I post a new blog. I don't know what one has to do with the either, honestly, but I don't think anyone reading this will care. (Hint: it's only Ray!) Let's see, what is there to go over?

Well, April Fools is coming up, I guess that's something. Anyone remember what happened last year? You know--the staff (which I was a part of at the time) came up with an elaborate story involving several mods getting demoted for the sole purpose of causing drama and chaos, only for it to backfire in our faces and create one of the most embarrassing times for the staff in the forum's history. Yeah, I definitely remember. Wasn't that fun? Let's do something like that again.

As much as I've always wanted to, though, I've never really celebrated April Fools. It seems like it would be fun if a lot of friends were to participate, but it's always turned out something of a non-event. I either forget to think of something until there's not enough time, forget about the holiday altogether, or simply don't care that year. I always enjoy irritating and/or humiliating my friends though. Maybe one of these years I'll remember, get off the couch, and scheme up something that won't inevitably be a disaster.

Actually, that reminds me of the one other year I pulled an April Fools prank, which also took place on the forum (I really don't have a life.) Back in '08 when I had been added to the mod team fairly recently, I devised a hilarious plan to make everyone think I was leaving forever. I was stupid, though, and didn't let Bowdeni (admin, for those youngsters out there,) or, in fact, anyone at all, in on the prank. Bowdeni took me seriously and revoked my mod powers. And that was when I learned that I can be pretty dang convincing when I want to.

And in case that's too interesting, I can always start talking about the weather. As a matter of fact, I have a fun fact: contrary to popular belief, it's not always raining in Oregon. Sometimes it snows. Heavily. In late March. Two days before Spring Break. Tired of short choppy sentences? Well, it probably didn't snow that heavily for many people's standards, but for us it was pretty significant. Never mind that three years ago we got so much snow that schools were closed for a whole week, and driving was impossible without sliding around on the ice. (Anyone else like how my paragraphs are getting progressively longer? I find it rather pleasing to the eye. Probably just me.)

What else has happened since last time? Well, saints Patrick and Valentine both got their day in the spotlight, and for most of us, both days were probably spent getting drunk in a bar. And for anyone who cares, no, I didn't get my Wii fixed. I did, however, borrow my friend's, for the unfair price of fifteen dollars. But, as Raymos continues to remind me, I have not exactly taken advantage of it. For reasons unknown, Skyward Sword has not hooked me like expected. I know that the game's good; hell, it's fantastic from what I've played, which is relatively little, but some indescribable thing seems missing from the experience. It's not necessarily a fault of the game, I must stress. Perhaps I would have an easier time getting into it if I were playing it on my own Wii? I don't know. I just feel kind of... bad, for not appreciating it as much as everyone else. I waited years for this game. Miyamoto messed up a live presentation on stage just so I could see the awesome motion controls. As a Zelda fan, the thought of watching in awe as Nintendo's epic year-long celebration of the series' 25th anniversary, climaxing in a game that by most accounts rivals Ocarina of Time in quality, only to stop playing after the third temple? Not just disappointing. Heartbreaking.

And that was a bit of a downer. Time to end this blog here, I think. There's more to talk about, but I'll just save that for next time.
