Introduction
There is a growing, yet ultimately self defeating movement towards over-complicating the Mario Kart Wii competitive clan experience. While efforts to standardize clan war rules are valiant, the loudest voices bellowing demands to their own clan members and towards all other clans in general are often childish, swaggering with an extreme false sense of authority, and all too demanding when it comes to the amount of time they expect everyone to spend playing the game.

There must be a refuge for the renegade whom is tired of adhering to too many rules, whom doesn’t want to beholden to the ever suffocating presence of tournaments, whom doesn’t want to be barked at by children, and whom is sick of being told that clan membership should be the biggest priority in life.

Where are all the people wanting to keep the competitive clan experience mature yet fun?

Definition

The Shellslingers competitive clan is a long lasting feature of the Gunslinger Gaming community that derives from the desire of a segment of [GS] members to have an official outlet for its members wishing to get involved in clan wars yet wanted to retain the mature gaming environment that they have so readily enjoyed in [GS].

Goals

We are steadfast in our intent to keep our competitive clan focused on our mission statement, and do so by acknowledging the following goals:

1.) Provide a competitive clan for mature Mario Kart Wii players.
2.) Keep the experience fun.
3.) Remain focused on ONLY clan wars and other competitive events that can be arranged at a moment’s notice.

Gunslinger Gaming is the online community for mature, casual gamers complete with an extensive forum and chatrooms. The community welcomes any 18+ in age Xbox, PS3, PC, or Wii gamer. The Shellslingers clan is its official competitive sect.

Becoming a Member

We are proud to announce that [SS] is currently recruiting new members. While we are proud of our flexible approach towards clan wars, we do have a few requirements that should be met before seeking [SS] membership:

1.) Be 18 years of age or older.
2.) Register an account at Gunslinger Gaming (as stated before, the [SS] forum is how the clan communicates via update and private messages to its members, and the forum is hosted there).
3.) Act in a mature manner at all times.
4.) The competitive commitment of participating in at least 1 practice and 1 clan war every week.
