Grand Team Tournament
The biggest tournament yet based on cooperative play!
Intro
We can finally announce the first long-term team based tournament. This is the place to sign up if you want to compete as a team. Instead of the usual free for all brawl of a race, you will here ensure your victory through teamwork and strategic use of items. This is also the perfect place for clans to compete *hint hint*
Rules and practical info
GTT will be a long-term tournament, in which every team will have a certain "Team Rating", highly analogous to the individual WFC Race Rating. A starting team begins at a rating of 5000 and will rise or drop as a result of its performance against other teams in GP's. There will be no silly limit at 9999. The mathematics will be done behind the scenes and shouldn't be worried about.
Regardless of how many members a team has, for every GP it will select three of its members to participate. A GP will feature 2, 3 or 4 teams, depending on how many are available at the given time. The team-score is calculated by simply summing the individual points of each racer. At the end of a GP one team will be 1st, another 2nd and so on. This data will be used to calculate the new "Team Rating".
We will start out with two weekly
Grand Prix's wednesday and saturday at 9pm UK time (8 tracks), but as we get more teams signed up we hope to increase the number of events. The ideas we have in mind include 1v1 events and Grand Prix's suitable for other time zones than Europe. Please note that because we increase the number of weekly events, it doesn't mean you need to go online all the time. You don't lose rating if you don't show up.
Voting random is a rule and so voting will be penalised -if- the track gets picked. The punishment is a reduction of ten points to the team of the voter whose track got picked.
The Grumbe Volcano 15-seconds-lap and the Mushroom Gorge mountain-climbing glitches are not allowed. Using them results in zero points to the team of the glitcher at the end of the event.
A participating team has an activity deal with the GTT, meaning that you can't stay away more than 8 event without taking part in any event. After those 8 events your team will be removed from the table.
If you one day come back to the tournament you will be back to 5000 if you were above them. If you were below 5000, you'll be added with 200 points less than you had before you were removed.
Any team wishing to pull out from an event needs to delineup in Helena or pm me before then end of the sign up time, wich means 20 uk time. Any team that pulls out after that time gets -100 for that event and the other teams get their rankings done with a fake team of 5000 that came last.
After an Hoster opens his/her room and advertised it on chat window. All racers have 20 minutes to fix their joining problems by talking with the hoster trought the webchat: Gamers Elysia
A lot of calm and comprehension is both required an recomended to the hoster, but after those 20 minutes hoster has permission to start with the race. If he wants to wait cause he has been, for example, messaged by a member trying to join, he has the right of getting those 20 minutes extended to 30.
If a room hasn't started at 9:30 all teams have right to command their racers to call out from the room and not participate in the event after informing the hoster of it.
When a hosters DC's causing a global DC, If the number of races raced were below 3 the GP shall be restarted, if 3 races were finished and there is a pic of the results the GP shall be counted with the 3 races, other way it shall be restarted aswell
