The GTT runs on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
Basic Rules
Note: all paragraphs are treated as individual rules

- When you sign up to the GTT, you agree to the rules of the GTT and to the final descisions of the GTT organizers. This is a fundamental, although you have your right to give suggestions and complaints, please remember that this is a game where frustration is bound to happen.

- Each GTT session consists of 3 GPs. The maximum amount of teams within one player hosted room is 4. The minimum is 3 (any games played with 2 are considered as special cases if due to team troubles)

- The same clan can't be in the room twice. This means that co-operation in races between two teams is restricted. The lower ranked clan (or if the teams are merged, the secondary team) will be placed in the lower ranked room.

- Each vote in the GP must be RANDOM. If you are caught voting AND that track being selected, then your team is docked 30 GP points.

- The latest a room may start is 9:30. If the room starts at a later time then this, then clans are obliged to pull out of the room without any consequences to their current rating. However they will be marked as not participating in the event.

- At least 8 out of the 12 races must be evidenced in order for the room to be counted in the table calculations. If there are no photos within 48 hours after the event, the room will be deemed as invalid and scores will not be counted. It is everybody's responsibility to ensure that photos are taken.

- If a team does not show up for the GTT they are not penalized. If this is a continual occurance (10 consequective events unraced) they will be removed from the Leaderboard. Once they play a new event, they are inserted again with the VR they had before.

Disconnection rules
- If a racer disconnects before the first race begins, or during the early stages of a race (lap 2) then the host MUST restart the room. If this happens more than twice, then the host is NOT obliged to restart the room.

-If a racer disconnects at the end of the first race, then the room MUST continue. This is to weed out malicious disconnects for restarted rooms. If this does happen, then if a photo of the race results are provided, those race results WILL be included in the final score.

- If a racer disconnects during the second race, or the room is not restarted when they are disconnected in the first race, then they will be subsidised 10 points for that GP. As in the previous rule, the GP must be restarted if a racer DC's up to the second lap of the first race of that GP. This is to try and make up for those who do not get treated to the rule. Of course if you have a higher score than 10 by the second race and you have evidence of this, then your original score will be noted.

- If a host has to leave during a GP then the races that have raced will be counted if it is 8/12 races accounted for. The host that abandons the race will have their team docked 30 points. This is to make sure that hosts do not abandon the room in favour of their team.

Cheating and exploits
- Mario Kart wii glitches and exploits are not allowed - user orientated shortcuts (such as on Bowser Castle 3) are allowed. If somebody is caught cheating, then their team will automatically be last and the team will be docked 500 VR rating.

- Hacking or any form of artificial aid is not allowed - if somebody is caught cheating, then their team will automatically be seen as last due to that incident in the event and their team will be docked 1500 VR and will have a 5-GTT-event ban. The person who was hacking is banned from participating in any GTT events thenceforth unless a convincing appeal is made.
